Tree Irrigation System

Drought stress continues to be one of the main causes of mortality of transplanted trees in their first years of establishment.

Water is vital for a tree's growth and sustainability. A lack of regular watering during the first few years undoubtedly causes irreparable damage to the tree.

During the summer period, a tree with a circumference of 6 cm requires an average of 30 liters of water per month, and a tree in mid-growth with a circumference of 20 cm will require an average of 300 liters in the same period of time.

The use of a specific and targeted irrigation system that supplies water directly to the root zone will bring enormous benefits to its development.

PROPERTIES:

  • Highly efficient in supplying water and air directly to the root system;

  • Water supply in two directions around the "Rootball", wetting the soil profile laterally;

  • Losses are minimal, there is no waste of water, evaporation, or loss of water beyond the fixing base;

  • Easy to water through the tube with a hose or using a pressure adapter to increase the flow;

  • Easy to assemble, cut to size, and suitable for all sizes of "Rootball";

  • The tube contains a membrane at the end preventing any type of debris from entering the system;

  • The watering belt strategically acts as a barrier to the root system, directing it to its ideal growth zone;

  • The system is compact, significantly reducing transportation costs compared to traditional pipe systems;

  • The piddler system can be used on straight lines, corners and on green roofs;
